Restorative Yoga helps relieve the stress of modern living by allowing the body to deeply rest. In this 2 hour workshop we will open the body and breath for 30 minutes using a foam roller, increasing circulation and pranic flow. For the remaining 90 minutes the body is placed in comfortable positions supported by yoga props – soothed by the scent of organic essential oil of lavender, all you need to do is lie down, close your eyes, unwind and rest deeply. By the end of class you will feel rejuvenated, grounded and open. Restorative Yoga is a deep practice and a gateway for meditation. In this 90 minute class you will be inspire you to move from your center with grace and power. A flowing sequence of yoga-asanas including sun salutations, traditional standing postures and deep seated hip openers will bring your body and mind into a vibrant state before unfolding gently into a deep savasana. By strengthening the core and opening the shoulders and hips the body and mind are brought into balance to support an experience of the power of the heart. This class honors all levels of practitioner and is designed to be engaging for advanced yogis while being friendly for beginners. Everyone is welcome. More details soon.
